Outplacement Services - Content of Outplacement Support

By utilising highly experienced Consultants (including Occupational Psychologists if required) we offer a targeted approach to providing Outplacement Services and Outplacement Support. The support is delivered in a number of developed and highly effective support programs or we can build up bespoke packages to cover a number of specific needs and requirements.

The areas our Outplacement Services may cover include:

• CV writing and ‘fine tuning’ including optimising a CV for online CV databases
• Where to look for jobs including getting the Internet to work for you - Job Boards, Job Agents etc.
• Applying for jobs, and how to tailor a covering letter to accompany a job application
• Advice on marketing one self to prospective employers including identifying transferable skills and determining other potential employment markets
• Advice on which Recruitment Agencies to register with and how to ‘encourage’ them to work proactively with a candidate
• Handling difficult interviews and Competency based interviews - usually covered in a very practical way via running through a dummy interview and providing feedback upon how the individual is projecting both themselves and skill set (only available in certain Outplacement Services packages)
• How to handle an Assessment Centre - the exercises likely to be included and what an Assessor is looking for from the individual (only available in certain Outplacement Services packages)
• Psychometric Testing - types of tests used. Within some programs the Outplacement Candidate is provided with the opportunity to take a Psychometric Personality Profile in-order to help identify how being made redundant may be reflected by such exercises
• Self Employment (including forming a Limited Company) and Retraining - who to approach for guidance and funding (only available in certain Outplacement Services packages)
• Active Candidate Marketing - Having an experienced Search Consultant work closely with an Outplacement Candidate to identify potential employers, then having them proactively contacting key recruitment decision makers within, selling the individuals skills and ability to them, with the intention of creating an opportunity for employment (only available in certain Outplacement Services packages)
• Providing independent Psychometric Assessment of your skill set to provide to potential employers as a support to an application (only available in certain Outplacement Services packages)
• Life Coaching

Our Outplacement Support and Outplacement Service is totally flexible and we will cover as standard ‘the basics’. But our service is aimed at identifying where an individual most needs help and support, and where possible we will concentrating upon those areas.
